Torch Relay has been helping kids at Penn State Children’s Hospital for five years and has raised over $111,000 to help kids like Lilly. While Lilly’s mom was 29 weeks pregnant she was involved in a terrible car accident. Lilly had to be delivered at just 29 weeks. Lilly was born with a heart condition and brain hemorrhage. She has needed open heart surgery, physical therapy and has faced overwhelming challenges. Lilly has pulled through like a champion! Today she is 14 and doesn’t let physical limitations stop her. She is very active and even runs in 5k races!
