Dairy Queen Serves Hope on #MiracleTreatDay, 10/28

One week from today on Thursday, 10/28, local Dairy Queen locations will be serving hope, smiles and miracles to kids and their families at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital on #MiracleTreatDay!

19 local participating DQ locations will donate $1 or more from every BLIZZARD Treat sold on MTD to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hershey. Many of the DQs in Central PA are facing staffing issues like other businesses across the country, so please consider placing a pre-order by Wed., 10/27 for your BLIZZARD Treats with your local participating DQ to pick-up on Miracle Treat Day. Your DQ will appreciate the extra time to prepare your order!

New for 2021, a select few DQ locations are opting to sell BLIZZARD coupon vouchers in their stores that can be redeemed on or after Miracle Treat Day. Follow the pre-order link above to learn more (pg. 2).

No matter HOW you participate on MTD, donations raised will provide treatments and healing needed today by pediatric patients being cared for at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, so that they can fulfill their potential for tomorrow and live their dreams.

Patients like Miles who has directly benefited from resources funded by CMN Hershey dollars. Miles was diagnosed with a rare immune system disorder, neutropenia, in 2013. Because of his condition, he has an abnormally low count of a certain type of white blood cell necessary for fighting off infections. He’s faced many illnesses and ER visits during which CMN funded resources like the Child Life program can make all the difference for kids and their families while in the hospital. Clinically trained Child Life therapists provide patients with a comforting guide through their experience at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, explain procedures in a way that brings kids and their families understanding and comfort and help kids just be kids in the hospital with educational and play activities.

Even during the scary past two years of COVID – especially for a child with special immune system considerations like Miles – he is doing well and wants to be a Lego master when he grows up (and obviously LOVES treats from DQ)!

Dairy Queen has been making miracles as a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1984 and has raised over $1.3 Million locally for Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. Their support has brought joy and healing to sick and injured kids by funding the programs, equipment and research they need to get better.

Thanks to you and all the Diary Queen locations in Central PA for helping change kids’ health and change the future at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital!
