Support Kids’ Health with Walmart and Sam’s Club

Walmart and Sam’s Club are helping “Spark Good” for children’s health through their longtime partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals — ensuring kids have the chance to grow up healthy, happy, and strong.

From June 9 to July 6, Walmart and Sam’s Club will be raising critical funds for local children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada — including Penn State Health Children’s Hospital — helping fund the resources needed to provide essential care.

One of those kids is Jake. Born 16 weeks early, he was so small he could fit in the palm of a hand. From the very beginning, Jake faced overwhelming challenges: he needed to be resuscitated, spent 148 days in the NICU at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, and underwent multiple surgeries to treat a brain bleed and relieve dangerous fluid on his brain. His diagnosis of cerebral palsy was just one part of a long and courageous medical journey.

But Jake didn’t face it alone. Because of caring people and organizations like Walmart and Sam’s Club, he had access to the life-saving equipment, therapies, and support he needed. Today, he loves to play baseball and listen to country music.

Walmart and Sam’s Club encourage everyone to participate in their “Spark Joy” campaign by donating at checkout in stores and clubs, online at Walmart.com, or in the Walmart app. Behind every donation are dedicated associates who bring the campaign to life through creative, community-driven fundraising events throughout the month. And every dollar raised stays local — helping hospitals deliver the care kids like Jake depend on.

“I am inspired by the compassion Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers, and members show in giving the gift of health to children in their own communities,” said Katie Anderson, Director of Children’s Miracle Network Hershey. “Their support keeps vital dollars local, helping fund everything from advanced medical equipment to palliative care, meal vouchers, and art therapy. It’s a powerful way to support families and truly change lives close to home.”

For 38 years, Walmart and Sam’s Club have stood with Children’s Miracle Network. Thank you, Walmart and Sam’s Club, for giving the gift of growing up to children in our communities!
