Help us Stop the Bleed

As kids head back to school, school safety is on everybody’s minds. We’re doing our part to save kids’ lives, and we’re asking for your help.

This month, we’re raising money to buy bleeding control kits for local schools. With these kits, trained staff members can be superheroes in emergency situations like school shootings, bicycle or car accidents. If everyone gives a little, we can help a lot. Donate now.

What is a Stop the Bleed Kit?

Each kit includes an instructional booklet, C-A-T tourniquet, QuickClot bleeding control dressing, protective gloves and a compression bandage. More than just a first aid kit, Stop the Bleed Kits were developed by the American College of Surgeons to include special blood clotting materials to help stop bleed quicker and save more lives.

Why are these kits important?

  1. Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death from trauma.
  2. Death from blood loss can occur within 5 minutes.
  3. Injuries to prepare for include mass casualty events like school shootings and bike, car and farm accidents.

How can you help?
