#ChildrensHospitalsWeek Kicks off at Penn State Children’s Hospital

Celebrate #ChildrensHospitalsWeek

#ChildrensHospitalsWeek starts today! We are raising money for Penn State Children’s Hospital’s patient assistance fund, which helps families in need by providing things like meal & travel vouchers, medication support, and medical equipment. In light of COVID-19, the number of families who need this type of support is growing!

Miracle Mom Nicole shared how grateful she was to receive gas vouchers so her husband could maintain his job when their son Ayden was in the Neonatal ICU, adding, “As the sole provider for our family, my husband was driving to Erie, working 40 hours in a span of three days and returning to Hershey to be with us at the hospital. Thankfully we were blessed with gas vouchers that helped soften that blow to our pockets.”

Join us April 6 – 12 in celebrating Penn State Children’s Hospital during #ChildrensHospitalsWeek!

Here’s how:

GIVE: Make a gift to support the Penn State Children’s Hospital’s patient assistance fund. It’s your chance to help a family in financial distress due to their child’s illness or injury. And with the current COVID 19 crisis, more families will need these resources than ever before. And thanks to Members 1st Federal Credit Union, your gift will be doubled up to $10,000!

SHARE: Even if you can’t give right now, which we understand, feel free to post a selfie wearing a band-aid and the name of a special child in your life along with the donation link. Wear a band-aid. Write the name of a special child in your life, take a photo and share it on social media using #ChildrensHospitalsWeek and #CMNHershey. Any bandage will work!

SET UP a virtual fundraiser and invite your coworkers, family, and friends to participate (virtual fundraiser ideas; play virtual meeting bingo and invite folks to make a donation to participate)

Together, we can make sure families do not face their medical journeys alone.
